I have a wheel that I bought that was from a 56 Chevy. It seems to be correct in evey way for my 1960. It has welded dogbone hub. It has the correct inner and outer nubs for hubcaps. It has the double outer ridge/double humps on the hub.
However, there is no stamping that I can find inside the rim. I was expecting to find the Kelsey Hayes stamp, date stamp, size stamp or something inside the rim, but I can find any of these.
Also, the other wheels I have has a GM stamping on one of the raised areas of the hub next to a lug hole. This wheel has a G and an M next to the lug hole.
Any idea why the missing K/H and other stampings?
