C2 Air Duct finish

I tried to find this information with a search with no luck. What was the appearance of the original air conditioned air ducts and outer ball holder, if different, for a C2 66. I realize they are black but, I have seen them gloss, semi gloss and satin. Also, any advice on restoration would be appreciated.

Jerry, Since no one has replied I will try. My original '65 are flat to semi-gloss black. I wonder if they are natural black plastic and not painted originally. Don H.

That is a good question. My 66 A/C duct pieces were all of the above, and I wondered the same thing when I got to them . Some were quite glossy and some were near flat. The flat pieces being mostly the middle ones . The outer ducts and ball surround were quite glossy.

For what it's worth, As I recall, I just used some auto cleaner wax on all of them to buff them up a little and let it go at that. I suppose you could use some plastic scratch remover product for an even better cleaning , but I did not want to buff them too much.
