Chevrolet Hall of Fame Museum 2 HUGE events!!

There are two HUGE events coming in October to the Chevrolet Hall of Fame Museum in Decatur, Illinois. The first is on Friday October 7th and is the "2nd Annual Night Before the Hunnert Car Pile-Up Cruise-In". This cruise-in will feature a Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young tribute band singing ALL of CSNY favorites to take you back to the 60's and 70's!!

The second event is a classic, antique and special interest vehicle and memorabilia auction. This is the "Inaugural Year" for the auction with 100 plus vehicles to be auctioned. LaVelle Hunt, Chevrolet Hall of Fame Museum owner, has been around classic/muscle cars his whole life. Some of you may know LaVelle thru the Corvette Pace Car Registry as the 2008 Registry Director. With his passion for the Corvette, Camaro and classic cars you can rest assured his events will be FIRST CLASS!! This would be a GREAT opportunity to make it to the Chevrolet Hall of Fame Museum if you haven't been there yet. This past July the Midwest Road Tour to the Nationals stopped over in Decatur on Friday night and visited the museum. From some of the comments I believe everyone was impressed with the collection LaVelle has put together.

Ok Terry. Maybe some can make it to the auction on the 29th. Did you make it down to Effingham this week-end for Funfest? We did today and headed back tomorrow.

I will be there late tomorrow. I have to teach class tomorrow morning, and I can't get away until noon. I hope to make it for dinner and the tunes. I suppose it will be too much of a mob to see each other.

Then Sacramento in a couple of weeks.

Be safe headed down. We're going back down to Funfest this morning but have a Wounded Warriers benefit back here in Findlay that lasts until 5. We wanted to get back for the tail end of it. I'll keep my eyes open for you.

Thanks Don. I got called out of town when you guys stayed over. LaVelle is a great guy and is always looking for new classics. Being involved with the Pace Car Registry he picked up 2010 Indy pace Car #35.

Lavelle has posted the seller and bidder registration forms for the October 29 auction. Please go to the Chevrolet Hall of Fame Museum website for all the forms and fees pertaining to the auction. If you plan on listing a vehicle for sale at the auction entries will be listed in order received. Be sure to mark your calendar, Lavelle will have over 100 vehicles and automotive memorabilia running through this inaugural auction with 250 vehicles planned for next year!!
