Hey Gerard, how's it going? I saw that car on ebay, and I have it on my bronze registry. I've started another registry for all the 1970 colors that are not on Juliet's registry. If yours is not on her's and you would like me to add your car on mine, send me an email w/your vin, and options etc... and i'll add it. Hope all is well...

Bill, did your car come out of the El Paso, Tx area, I looked at one just like you describe back in early 90s their, 70 corvette bronze, also almost bought one,changed mind and didn't that was a 70 Lt-1 pilot car and bronze in Dallas, Tx in late 70s ... ah the ones we let slip away...lol
might add those were only two I have ever seen

I bought mine in Amarillo; its not an LT1- its a 350/300 coupe. There is another corvette bronze about 20 minutes from where I am in NJ and another one (convertible) in South Jersey- those are the only other ones I've seen in person besides mine

Bill -- I have only one microfiche sheet for 1970 imports into Canada [GM Canada records], and only 6 cars are Corvettes; VIN range 07121 thru 07613. Here's what it shows for code 993 paint:

Coupe VIN 07575, 993/403; LS5
Coupe VIN 07592, 993/403; LS5

Not bad -- 2 out of a short list of 6 cars. That bit about Ontario Orange vs. Corvette Bronze is interesting; first time I heard that, but then I hang out with the C2 crowd.

Scott 13994 was the day after 13925, but I don't have 13994 as a ZR1 -- but then maybe I missed that detail.

Hi Terry-

13994 is a ZR1, Bridgehampton Blue Coupe. Had it flight judged at the '08 NW Regionals. The Shipping verification service re-confirmed the build sheet info: dealer code 138 shows it was delivered to Guaranty Chevrolet in San Diego - and yes, it's equipped with NA9!

As you mentioned, this was built one day after the Corvette Bronze ZR1 Coupe - and both were fitted with 4.56 gear ratio.

I think that if you go to the records of an old, established paint shop, you're going to find that there were TWO distinct Corvette Bronze colors in 1970, for get about Ontario Orange.

Taken from an April 70 publication "Color information for your Ditzler color book:

"The following exterior colors have been ADDED to the 1970
Corvette.

62 Corvette Bronze Poly 2264"

followed by:

"The following exterior colors have been DROPPED from the
1970 Corvette.

62 Corvette Bronze Poly 2181"

I think that if you go to the records of an old, established paint shop, you're going to find that there were TWO distinct Corvette Bronze colors in 1970, for get about Ontario Orange.
