1958 Gm Parts Book

Does anyone have one, i have a 72 and all the parts I am looking for were discontinued at that time. Nolan Adams page 289 shows the rod #3750537, I need deminsions so I can build one, this is the rod from the kick down bracket for a 250 HP FI PG car to the throttle linkage. He also shows the rod and bracket ( I think mine is right) for the FI car to be #3752490 and #3751674 for the 2x4 PG cars, any help is appreciated. thanks Ronnie

3750537 is listed under Group 4.019 Rod-Spring-Washer-Clevis. Gearshift Control, as:
58 PASS, CORV. (F.I.) w/A.T. throttle valve cross shaft

No dimensions given.

The 1963 P&A (oldest I have) says:

58 . . . PASS, CORVETTE (A.T. w/F.I.) . . . . . . . throttle valve cross shaft (8 dev. length) . . . 3750537

The 1969 P&A shows that this part number was removed from service 12-68.

All I can tell you is that the GM #3750537 was discontinued without supercession in December, 1968.

From what I can determine the 4 bbl rod is identical only longer. The 8" mentioned above looks rto be about right. I guess if I cut the 4 BBL rod down and rethread only me and my hairdresser would know! thanks guys

I'll check my 59 Special Parts catalog and see if it shows any additional info. First, I have to find it.
