1962 Power Glide Torque Converter

Does anyone know if the '62 aluminium case Power Glide had fins on the Torque Converter since there was no transmission oil cooling in '62? If not, then is it the same Torque Converter as the '63 to'65 aluminum case Power Glides?

I don't know about fins but the 61-62 Powerglide torque converter was ultimately replaced by a converter also applicable to 63-67 Corvettes. So, the later transmissions have backwards compatibility with the earlier. I strongly suspect there is forward compatibility of the earlier with the later, too.

Believe it or not, I have an NOS example of this converter, GM #3852880 [not for sale]. I can't get at it right now but my recollection of it is that its external configuration is very typical.

Now, don't ask me why I have a torque converter applicable to Powerglide transmissions as I've never even owned such a transmission.
