I would like to get some information about 220 h.p. 3731398 intake manifold. The numbers are, date I1556 with a T and 1957. I am curious if this manifold would be correct for a early 220 h.p. Corvette.

Jerry------
Assuming the 1957 Corvette was built after November 5, 1956 the manifold would be correct except for 2 things. These are the "T" which indicates a Tonawanda casting and the "56" as the year code, also a feature of most Tonawanda castings. Tonawanda castings were not used for Corvette engine parts for 1957.In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top

Re: 1957 Corvette intake manifold
no, you have a tonawanda manifold. corvettes used only flint parts that use only one digit for the year in the date codes.- Top
