    Hello, I have just purchased a 1965 Corvette, # on engine FI209EA, I can not identify it. does anyone recognize it?

    I show two EA suffix's in my chart.

    One is a 250 HP 327 that was originally mated to a manual trans. Most likely an A body car.

    The second EA I show was a 57 283 from a full size car.

      i show 5 EA so you need to find the casting date.i show a 55 265 truck, 57 283 2X4 car,65 327 car,66-67 327 car, 68 327 car.

            Post the casting number of the block too. For example, if it's a 3858174 block, then it's the '66 Chevelle block in Michaels list which I recognize as that's what I have in my Chevelle.

                The 3858174 was used in '64-'67 so the casting date would be needed to narrow it down further.

                  since we know it was not a corvette engine it has to be this. 3858174 327 64-67 Passenger,Chevelle,Camaro Sm journal
                  or this 3858174 327 64-67 Truck Sm journal. corvette engine would have the front oil passage drilling above the timing gear cover

                    the 3858174 block was also used for the 67 camaro 350 but the stamp pad EA eliminates that
