    68 Overflow Tank

Did the 327/350 w/AC have an overflow tank? If so any pics of the engine compartment for mounting?

Just to be clear -- Overflow tanks didn't come to Corvettes until after 1972. I assUme, however, you are asking about an aluminum expansion tank.

1968 small block with AC I believe had a copper brass radiator with no external expansion tank. Wait and see if others agree with me.

I think there is a chart in the TIM&JG that should give you a definitive answer, but I don’t have my TIM&JG at work. Perhaps someone with a TIM&JG can help.

I just looked, Terry is correct. No expansion tank on any '68 with A/C. The terminology can be confusing but there is a critical functional difference between '73 and up cars as compared to earlier models. This year marked the long overdue introduction of a coolant recovery system, including what has been nicknamed an overflow or 'puke' tank.

I guess that's his impression of an over filled big block system?

And you arn't either (I hope.) It is either the computer doing that or the guy/gal in the next seat. Something about texting while driving comes to mind.

I know it's bad to text while flying...er, uh, driving. Thing is, what about using iphones new app for real time traffic reports...while driving? Seems a bit of a conundrum.

I'm smart enough not to attempt flying in a bowl of milk, but I can make it come out my nose.

Side note to the OP: please ignore Mark's bad behaviour. He gets cranky if we don't humour him or jingle a ring of keys in front of him as a distraction. If you ever happen to overhear the words 'vomit comet' from the cabin staff, you can pretty well guess who's up front.
