    Frame pull date

I'm about to write the pull date on my 65 frame but have a question. It's a St Louis car, Body date G15, Birthday calculator says build date Feb 16 which is a Tuesday. I believe that John Hinkley said the frame build date is the day before or day of the body build date. The day before would be a Sunday. Should I use the previous Fridays date or the Feb 15th date (G15)
    Details, details....
    Thanks

There is a song..."Never on Sunday". Just my opinion unless you showed us time card records they worked that Saturday and Sunday.

      John,

The frame "pull date" is likely to be the same as the trim tag date, or a day after.

The birthday calculator isn't 100% accurate.

        John -

        I'd use the 15th date.

            Re: Frame pull date

I think there's still a lot of confusion about the frame date.

When the body received it's trim tag, the frame was most likely still sitting in a pile of frames at the start end of the frame line. Even if the frame was pulled and set on the frame line within an hour or so after the body received it's trim tag in the opposite corner of the building, the body still had a LOT of hours to go through hard trim before it ever got to the point where it would meet it's chassis.

If a body received it's trim tag early in the AM, the frame would have been dated and pulled that same day.
If, however, the body received it's trim tag near the end of the shift, the frame wouldn't have been set on the line until the next day.

There are ways that a frame date could also be one working day before the trim tag date.
If the frame is near the bottom of the "short stack" of frames inside the building, it could have been dated the same as a late in the day body trim tag date.
