If anyone hasn't seen the video for sale by the NCRS showing the panel/interview of the old drivers at the Petersen Museum, it is well worth the price. I just finished watching it last weekend. Great stuff and maybe the most interesting is Fehan (sp?) talking about the genesis of the new program vs. how it was.

Is the fourth car you are referring to the car originally purchased by Paul Rhinehart? Currently owned and raced by Susan Armstrong.

Up until this year Paul was a regular racing his Union Oil 1957 at the historics at both Sears Point and Laguna Seca. Yes I know the tracks have been renamed, but they will always be known as Sears Point and Laguna Seca to me. I have known Paul for many years and a few years back he told me that after a few races when the 63 car was new, he received "all four brake corners and a new 36 gallon tank from Chevrolet unsolicited". He said they replaced the tank and took the old tank and put it in the 63 convertible of Red Faris. He also said it took them all weekend to get it to fit.

They don't make people any nicer than Paul. Sad to see him not on the track. He really is living corvette history having been SCCA West Coast Champion in 1960 & 1961 along with vintage racing his 63 and 57 for many years.

As previously mentioned, this is neat stuff. Thanks to all!

'and he is a very gracious and tolerant guy! He spent quite a bit of time answering my quesitons about the car and restoration.
I remember the car in The Special Collection in the early-mid 80's parked right up front as you entered the building.

Great pics Jim! IIRC Paul told me his Z-06 was used by American Racing to fit the TT wheels for Corvettes.

Thanks for the great photos of both Paul and Mickey. As mentioned, both great guys.

I can't help but wonder in the link below from the 1963 pilot line pictures (photo 73) if this isn't Paul's car being built.
