Anyone have experience w/ Crane Corvette purchasing used/restored carbs? I need a dated Holley 4055-1, he has some advertised that would match my build date, want to see if others have been this route w/ success. Thanks!

Re: Crane Corvette for used/restored carbs??
David Crane has supplied many Corvette owners with good parts without issues. He has also had problems with some.
If he has the part you want/need, I would call him and buy it. Just be cautious in your dealings. Use a credit card or postal money order and get a firm ship date and tracking number. Pickup at a Corvette show would probably be the best, but this may no be possible for both of you.
I have purchased from him, but only at the big shows.....this way I can see and inspect the part(s). But others had purchased via mail order with success.

Re: Crane Corvette for used/restored carbs??
The carbs are new carbs that generally have some subtle difference to the originals.
Worse is their stamps are easily detected by those that have a eye for engine pads too. Usually excessively crooked numbers, and the you have to watch, never on Sunday- Top
