    1967 seat back un-locks

Are the little levers held on with a standard screw-driver set screw or an allen screw?

    Keith,

Noland Adams' book shows the blueprint for the seat-back lever assembly on p. 383. He says that early levers ("knobs") used a #8-32 set-screw, later cars used the 1/4-28 set screw. My car was built Jan. 11, 1967 and it has the 1/4-28 x 1/4" set screws. They are slotted, with a cone-shaped point.

Keith, my early car (#183) has an allen head set screw for the lever. Based on the post above me, sounds like there might be a mid-year change on that.

        Chris,

Can you confirm whether your Allen head set screw is #8-32 x 1/4" long?

          All,
My early 67(#179) has a sloted set screw with a cone shaped point. I don't know the thread size.
