    Re: 1963 Corvette Z06 Convertible....

I found a photo of the "claimed" Z06 I was referring to. It was a Daytona Blue Convertible and it was at the Bloomington Show in St. Charles in 2002. It is not too easy to read the grease pencil writing on the windshield, but one part claimed it to be #4 0f 5 built Z06 Convertibles. It had a black convertible top with standard wheel discs and black wall tires. It had a front license plate (the state from which I can't make out), white with black letters #947HWH, with side number 0-10, Almost looks like a Canadian plate, or perhaps a temporary towing plate.

Does this make any sense to anyone, or do we even care??

Stuart, those 2002 Bloomington claims read like an ad "by a friend for a guy who doesn't have a computer on e-bay" - let's hope that it never sold.
The black/saddle car is, as the Hinkster said, is/was bona fide, complete with the service records complaining about the brakes and the attempt to correct by installing later version drums.
It's disappointing to read that it has suffered the addition of KO wheels with Corvair KOs. How can you not be satisfied with owning the ONLY (so far) DOCUMENTED Z0-6 CONVERTIBLE in the world?

        John,
I would love to see pictures of the car and docs if it's not too much trouble. Just thinking out loud but I wonder if its still for sale?

It is NOT FOR SALE that I know of - will be talking to the owner in person tomorrow - original steel wheels are back on the car AFAIK - I also have copies of all the documentation, but will defer to the owner as to what he wants to share
