Aux Hard Top - How Do I?

I have discovered a crack my C3 hard top's vinyl headliner. It's approx 1.25" long and I'd like to fill the crack and re-dye the h/liner over the winter. The location of the crack is forward RH side, over passenger's head, near the latch cut out.

Has anyone encountered this and are there any suggestions on how (if at all ) I can fix this? Other than this crack, and some minor center-sag/warp, the top is pristine, inside and out. Any suggestions on removing the warp would be appreciated too.

    Thanks.

    Don,

I think permatex makes a product that will take care of the crack. I can't give much detail because I never used it but do some research to see what they offer.

Don, mix a little JB weld and take putty knife and fill the crack and take a rag. and wipe any excess around the crack before it sets(may take a couple of coats). and then take a little dye and give a few lite coats to blend.

I did this to the vinyl t-top on my 72 in a few spots worked great.

Two good tips so far! Thanks guys. Gordon Henry also called me with contact information for a local guy that I can apparently take the h/liner to for repair.

Like most all of us, I have some JB Weld on hand. I went to Permatex's web site and found their Dashboard and Vinyl Top Repair Kit (item # 81785). I've attached a photo of the product, clipped from their product line up. I've sent them a query, looking to see if this is the product that they recommend for my current need. I'm waiting to hear back. Does anyone have experience with this product?

A toothpick gently dragged across the partially kicked JB weld can be used to simulate the haircell finish where you bridge the crack.
