    1972 wiper issue revisited

Thanks for all the advice. Jerod Matlock pointed out that the dash wiper switch car be plugged in backwards. Would this cause the wiper motor to not shut off, in the off position ? Mine wiper stays on, unless I turn on the interupt knob under the steering column. Phil

Mine (71) was plugged in backwards by the PO. In my case, they wouldn't turn on.

Phil, it sure sounds like the wiper park switch. The switch at the base of the column will interrupt the power feed to motor.
