The pin on the deck lid on the pass. side won't release on my '64. Any suggestions as to how to get it to release? TIA.

Re: Convert Top Won't Release
The underside of the receiver has a wedge-shaped latch, much like a household door latch. Stick your head under the deck lid and with a flashlight find the latch. You should be able to push the latch into its housing (toward the front of the car) to release it from the pin that is part of the top.
If nothing else works you should also be able to remove the 2 chromed machine screws that hold the receiver to the deck lid and allow the receiver to rise off the deck lid with the top. Phillips pan head screw on upper surface of deck lid and nut (3/8" wrench I think) on under side of lid. Once the receiver is off the deck lid off you can play with it until you release it.- Top

Re: Convert Top Won't Release
Mike sometimes there quite a bit of pressure on the pins, depending on how hard you push down when you latch , maybe have a extra hand to push down on the top while you try the release.New England chapter member, 63 Convert. 327/340- Chapter/Regional/national Top Flight, 72 coupe- chapter and regional Top Flight.- Top
