63 Hardtop Frame Paint

2. Are side mounting tabs completely painted black when the frame is painted or are they masked off? Attached picture shows black on back of tab. Tabs appear chrome plated so even if originally painted majority would probably have flaked off.

Interior color on that header.

While I am not certain on 63s, especially early ones, I would be surprised if they intended to paint the mounting bracket.

Hopefully one of the experts will have answers for you about what was original. The mounting tabs on my hardtop, December 1963 built 1964 model year, look exactly like yours. Clearly some chrome on them but very little toward the fiberglass.
