The Cadillac Corvette. Why does Chevrolet keep heading in the wrong direction?

Don't forget that our C2s have a lot of edges/creases in the design, but probably not as sharp.

Right now I'm neutral, but it will probably grow on me.

Rumors are that it will be a little smaller/lighter than the current C6. That will make or break the deal for me.

The rear looks like the C5 from the side. Described as the jaw-bone of an ass!

Like it somewhat! Don't like it as well as the c-6.

Seems too over-designed. Too many details that struggle to relate to one another. Not to be so critical, but it looks like every scoop and vent design cliche has bee tacked onto the body- not sure what this design is trying to accomplish. IMHO.

This is the car they should build it pays tribute to the 63 and it would coincides with the 50th anniversary of that car

No, I get that. I watch the Rolex series, so I'm familiar with it.

I'm wondering if GM isn't dipping its toe in the water to make a run at the OVERALL WIN at LeMans..........

the way things have been going over there corvette would need a duramax engine.

                          Duke,
and they were right. They fixed it with the '65's. ; )

I agree with the reaction received regarding the 63 launch, the design was more revolutionary than evolutionary and thus, tends to drive polarity. At the end of the day, the 63-67 was a very well executed design developed by very talented designers as history has confirmed. Sure, it needed some tweaks down the road, but its proportions and details are expertly put together.

My understanding from Jalopnik's site of this C7 execution posted was that it was generated by Jalopnik in a very short amount of time. For me, it lacks refinement.

The design elements on this particular rendering seem to randomly compete with one another and create a look that is disjointed and lacks cohesiveness. As an enthusiast of both Corvettes and Design, I think this is the weakest of the "Official C7's" seen to date. The design seems too evolutionary as well to be deemed a C7-would have expected more of a progression. But that is just my opinion-I been wrong before

Here are a few other "C7's" that have surfaced for y'all.

That picture is probably pretty close, not much of a change from the C6, and since the BG factory is only going to be closed a month or so for the change-over retooling, not much of a change is expected except cosmetic. And Lutzy was quoted as saying they had to make it look more European or Ferrari like to attract the "younger" buyers since all us old Corvette guys are going out of the buying force and it has to appeal to "new" buyers more than us. Makes you feel old and unwanted.

I remember my dad - a former GM engineer and Pontiac dealer - used to call it "gingerbread".
