Interesting frame mark on 78 L82

Hey all ! I was just looking at a 78 Pace Car that a friend just bought. We took the moldings off to do a little cleaning and found this on the passenger side.

Frame is marked L82 and upside down. I don't recall ever seeing the engine designation on the frame. Car is and L82 / AUTO, VIN 843 with a date of G27.

Thought I'd share it with everybody here.

I"ll check my 78 L-82 when the Rocker panel comes off for cleaning. If it has any markings I"ll post pics

Check it out!
My 78 L-82 Automatic built on 2/14/78 has similar frame marks.
My Build Date if from markings under the Deck Lid that can be seen with the Tank out
