Water Outlet Color

Hello,

I have a 1967 327/350 hp car and was curious on what the correct color the water outlet on the intake should be.

I've seen it silver on a 427 and black on a 327. Is black the right color for the 327?

Mine was silver on my '67 L79 I bought in the summer of 87, so I'm not really sure. It was a pretty original 6X,XXX mile car, though. I'd Like to know also.

Silver. Any black-painted housing was done post-factory.

Thanks. Silver it is. I would assume the silver should closely match the aluminum intake.

It's a very low gloss aluminum paint.

Krylon made a spray can paint called "Dull Aluminum". It's a excellent match for the original color.

Thanks everyone. I used a flat aluminum engine paint and it looks great!
