Master cylinder possible J56

I have a master cylinder with casting 5480346 but it does not have the front area machined at all. Were these master cylinders used on any other cars? It appears to be an original unit but I question why there is no machining. Is there any market for these since so few were made?

The number is 5460346. Besides being used for 1967 J-56, this master cylinder casting was used for all 1968-76 (and later) J-50 applications. The one you have sounds like a later one. Does it have bleeder valves?

Yes, I'd say it's about a 1974 or later unit.
