There's a great nostalgia site on the Web: Memory Lane (under the URL of Classmates.com). Search Google for >Memory Lane< and you'll get there. Anyway, the site offers scans of vintage magazines. I was attracted to their old Sport issues because I was a huge Mickey Mantle nut when growing up in the '50s-'60s. There's lots of great stuff about The Mick in Sport.
Today, when I was browsing the January 1, 1962 issue of Sport, I found a two-page spread featuring Whitey Ford, the 1961 World Series MVP, accepting his prize: a 1961 white Corvette:

That's the left page. On the right page, Sport announces its prize for the outstanding NFL championship game player: a 1962 'Vette:

You can find more than a few full-page Corvette ads inside the '50s-'60s Sport issues, if you're willing to take the time to look for them. If you do go to Memory Lane, you can scan tons of old magazines, videos, etc. for free and their magnification tool allows you to read the text. I find it perfect for indulging my penchant for nostalgia.
