    C3 Judging Reference Manual

Will NCRS be updating any of the C3 manuals in the near future?

    68-9 is at the printers.
70-2 is, well, on a short informal hiatus while we all recover from pounding out the 68-9 over the last few months. I suspect that after the first of the year we may get back at it.

      Greg,

I hope you don't take this wrong, but your title says C3 Judging Reference Manual. There is no such manual. There is an NCRS Judging Reference Manual (sometimes called the JRM) that is applicable to ALL the Corvettes we judge --1953 to 1996. The current version is the 8th Edition, with an addendum added sometime last Summer.

Patrick's answer pertains to the NCRS Technical Information Manual & Judging Guide (sometimes called the TIM&JG), and there are a number of those for C3s. Patrick gave you the answers (although his time frames are debatable -- for example the 1968-69 manual is not yet at any printer. Close, but not yet. It likely will nto be available to the membership until after the 2012 National Convention.) for 1968-69 and 1970-72. There are other C3 TIM&JGs and you did not make it clear which of those you are interested in, if any.

Thanks Patrick and Terry no offense taken. I am looking for the 68-9 TIM&JG. I guess I will wait until the new ones come out. I am sure when the new ones come out there will be some chatter on the Discussion Board.

        Thanks
        Greg

Well Reba said it would be.

And it should have been -- the fault is mine, but in fairness it goes out for bid and then to the chosen printer. As I said though traditionally, and for good reason, new manuals are not released before a National Convention.

So is the judging at the national convention based on the current published edition of the manual or...institutional knowledge of what's expected in the forthcoming edition?

Close...the judges are typically found in institutions.
