1957 3 speed shifter finishes

Can someone tell me the correct finishes for a 1957 3 speed shifter? thank you.

Susan,

Shift lever was chrome and I believe everything else below the floor, housing, levers, bolts, etc., was cad plated.

rods to side cover were black phos or natural, not cad plated. shifter levers natural ,not cad. mike

Hi Mike, thanks for your reply. I have also seen some material saying the components should be zinc rather than cad. Is cad correct? Thanks S

the handle id chrome plated as Rod stated in his post. all the piece i mentioned in my post are finished as i described. the rest of the shifter is silver cad plated.mike
