    1964 Radio Antenna ?????

    Hello;
    Was the power antenna standard equipment in 64 as is was in 65? If so how do you identify the real deal one?
    Thanks.

    If memory serves me (which is dangerous), the power antenna was standard with radio in 65/66, 64 had a fixed mast. Another mid-year fact was the coupe power-vent was 64-65 only. That means 65 was the only year a coupe with radio had both power antenna and power vent. Don H.

      Which resulted [potentially] in six combinations of rear wiring harnesses; with/without power antenna (ie. no radio); with/without back-up lights (no Z01 option); with/without rear vent motor (convertibles and 36 gal coupes).

      Don't know, short of researching AIM and parts catalogs, how many of these were rationalized by using the harness with the most wires and letting the rest hang .

        You mean telescoping antenna. Fixed masts did'nt appear until the late 60's? or the 70's?

              Sorry, I used the wrong terminology. I know 64 telescoped but was not power.

                Hello;

                Thanks for all of the help. I bought a new 65 Fueler and it had a power antenna and I wasn's sure about the 64's. My 64 Fueler didn't have one and I thought it may have lost it in the shuffle. The 64 was a drag car with 10K miles, but I thought someone may have lost the power antenna in favor of weight reduction.
                Thanks again for all the help.
