    SJ4653 Jack

I found what appears to be an original SJ4653 Jack for sale for $950. I looked at 20 photos and it appears to be the real deal, but too expensive for my driver car. I have no interest in the jack or ties to the owner, just passing along what I know to be a very rare item in case an NCRS member has been looking to purchase an original jack. Call Al at 727-488-5989. He sold his 1958 Corvette, but the jack was not part of the deal.

There just was one on Ebay that didn't sell at $995.00 after being listed twice. Maybe the market is a little soft right now.

MAN! What a rip off, I only gave $10 for mine.

By the way, does anyone know this same jack was also used on the early 50s 1/2ton pickups?

I believe there was an article in the Restorer many years ago which said the same jack, only red in color, was once sold at Western Auto.

I bought a NOS SJ4653 jack at a swap meet in Massachusetts about 20 years ago for about $10. It was also painted red and had an auto parts store sticker on it, probably Western Auto. It has been living the good life in Hawaii for the last 20 years.

actually when you consider you could purchase a reproduction jack for $200 and i have seen only a 3 point deduction for originality with the reproduction jack it climbs to $200 a point!
