    C2 restoration progress

Here's some more photos of the project. I'm up to about 1,000 photos now and counting. Gone through numerous boxes of ziplock baggies for all the smaller parts.

Last few photos of the body before heading to the painters. Absolutely no rust on the birdcage. Was quite pleased. Chasis is back and ready for reassembly. A little bogged down with the seats. I'll be bead blasting the seat frames tomorrow and painting the following week.

I'll post some more photos of the chasis as the assembly progresses. Hope you enjoy the photos.

Thanks Tom. Just a few hours? It's going to take me just a few hours to finish the seat frames Love your cars. I've copied the photo of the cars and I'm going to use them in my upcoming argument/presentation to my wife that I should have at least one more corvette.

        Thanks.

I don't recall having too many discussions with the wife about the cars. I tell her they just follow me home.............

Keep up the nice work and good luck with the resto.

          Great pics, guys!

I told my wife that a lot of guys my age have young girlfriends on the side.
I just have some old cars instead.

You didn't seem to find that near as funny as I did.........

I'm not a home right now and don't remember the exact width. I do know that it is almost twice the width of the lift. I'll check later tonight and let you know.

                Re: C2 restoration progress

Real progress today. Went by the shop to do some bead blasting, and was surprised with the latest results. Here are some more photos. Almost feel like I shouldn't place the body back on.

                  Hector -

Looks terrific! BTW, the front upper and lower control arm bushing retainers and bolts should be black, same gloss as the control arms; lots easier to do it now with the body off.
