64 windshield - made by PPG

need some help id the windshield.

the JG says all windshields are mfg'ed by LOF, but in the Service Bulletin, it says Chevrolet uses 2 sources of glass, LOF and PPG. So could PPG be original too in '64? If so, is there a date code formula for PPG? I have PPG now.

    Thanks,
    Danny

Specifically what service bulletin are you referring to? (DR or TSB number and date) ?

Saw it in the 63/64 Tech Info and JG, 5th edition, page #237:

        zone: Kansas City
        date: Jan 21, 64
        subject: Body Glass Warranty Replacements
        Bulletin no.: 2

In the last paragraph, it says Chevy has two sources... LOF and PPG.

        What is L&MR?

May have been issued as a SERVICE note to the Kansas Zone Dealers regarding replacement parts for service use. A typical TSB issued for all vehicles would be addressed to "ALL CHEVROLET DEALERS", not a Zone. I've also got several iterations of TSB index summaries for the model years in question and I don't find that one listed. Is the TSB number mentioned?

            Danny -

That bulletin is generic (for all car and truck lines), not just Corvette; all passenger car glass was purchased and installed by Fisher Body - none was purchased by Chevrolet.

Chevrolet only purchased glass for trucks and Corvettes, and all Corvette glass was sourced from L-O-F.

The "L&MR" was the warranty reimbursement claim form dealers submitted to Chevrolet for payment for warranty work.
