Anyone who has ever worked on C3 headlights knows the biggest headache is the installation of the springs. I have had to remove them and install them by hand because I don't have a spring puller. If you have done, this what type and brand do you have? Which brand/style works best. Also there are teflon bushings that look like lima beans. Do the lips face the eye or do they face the outside where the cotter pin is.

Re: C3 headlight Spring and other questions
Hi Charles,
"Lima beans".... all along I've been thinking 'kidney beans'.
And now I have to think of beans with lips!
Happy New Year!

Re: C3 headlight Spring and other questions
When I had to work on the headlights on my son's 74' I made a spring install/remove tool using a length of brazing wire which I bent into a small hook on one end and on the other end I drilled a small hole in a piece of half inch dowl stock, inserted the wire and bent it around the dowl stock. I think the wire was about 18 inches long.- Top
