    68 radio repair/restoration

    Hi all, Happy New Year!!

Does anyone have experience with D&M Restoration on radio repair/restoration? I hear very good things about D&M on guages, am curious about their track record on radios. I need also to have my clock repaired and would be nice to accomplish in one shipment if can ensure top quality work on both units.

    Thanks!

You might wish to specify the location of the D&M you are referring to. There are several establishments by that name or similar enough names t be confusing.

        Hi Pete,
I used the D&M Restoration in Greenville S.C. to have the tachometer from my 71 repaired. It was just a repair not a cosmetic restoration, and I was very pleased with the service and price.
I also used Jerry Rudbeck to repair my am/fm radio. He did a great job and quite quickly. He even helped me several times on the phone when I had some problems, (dumbness on things electrical), getting it working when I put it back in the dash.
        Regards,
        Alan

I would also strongly recommend Jerry Rudbeck. Very capable, and more importantly, will go the extra mile
          to help you.

Jerry Rudbeck has done a couple of radios for me. Great guy and reasonable price. Excellent work!

D&M in Greenville SC changed owners a couple of yrs ago. I can't vouch for the new owners.

How does one get in touch with Jerry? I've done a search to find a post by Jerry so I could PM him, but there aren't any posts attributed to him. If there's a list of members somewhere, I can't find it.

                  Re: 68 radio repair/restoration

Thanks for all the replies. I decided to go w/ Jerry Rudbeck for the radio and D&M for the guage repair/calibration. I don't need to restore the guages, just repair the clock and check for correct calibation/operation of the other guages.

Mike, Jerry can also be reached via email at jerry@electrodesign.us. I have e-mailed him several times over the past couple of days re: my radio repair, he is very quick to respond and offers much detail to all questions.
