    Re: wiper motor rebuild

    Hi Lyndon,
I had 'Corvette Specialties of Maryland West' repair my wiper motor. I was pleased with the work!
    They advertise in the DRIVELINE.

I know we have kicked this subject (although not specifically for 1970) recently. Might have been for 1968-1972 so search without a date. There were three or four potential sources listed.

      Work it babe!!

can recommend two different folks, depending on where you are in the country - Rick Stotler in Maryland and Joe Ray in Arkansas - both are reasonable in their pricing and very responsive - can provide contact info for either if you want

                    Re: wiper motor rebuild

                    Hi Lyndon,
The number of ports on the washer pumps was changing during the 1971 model year because of the earlier demise of the headlight washers; based on the use of the pumps on hand.
The TIM/JG indicates the the 5 port pump continued to at least serial numbers in the mid 12,000 range. Pumps after that would typically have 3 ports.
Also changing during that period, was the presence of the washer hoses in the vacuum hose bundle going to the headlights.
My mid- January built 71, #6589 has the 5 port pump, the washer hoses cut short, and the holes in the headlight bezels for the washer nozzles, but no nozzles. It has a short piece of washer hose running between 2 of the ports.
                    Regards,
                    Alan

Interesting. My 71 SN 1632 has a 3 port pump and the hoses routed and laying under the wiper motor. The wiper motor is original to the car, possibly someone changed the outlet portion to a 3 port?
