I purchased a number 913 2 hole horn relay. It is my understanding, it sould be a 3 hole. Is my 2 hole a service part? Thanks for the info.

Re: E1957 horn relay.
Hello Jerry, My november built 1957 has an origional 3 hole mount relay as illustrated in the NCRS Technical Information & Judging Manual. I just recently restored the relay and it appeared to have never been changed. Now I am also interested in this post. John- Top

Re: E1957 horn relay.
The 913 two holed relay is the correct one for most of 1957, my 2300 numbered vette came with the 9132hole. The very late serials around 5000 up may have the 58 relays 3 (5 hole may be replacment over the counter part) if I remember correctly. My buddies 1600 numbered 57 has the 913 2hole never taken off car as far as he can tell, hope that does not mix up things some more..........- Top

Re: E1957 horn relay.
Mike , many of us know GM probably mixed it up a little like they always did with supply & demand with subs.........I have seen three hole relays but only on a few here & there, don't know vins , but there are many refrences to the 913 , I found many pictures of factory fresh engine bays with the two hole relay mounted....Noland shows a couple, the 1958 Service Operations Chassis manual shows a nice picture of the three hole relay mounted....... I have a master library of photos of approx 17hundred 56 & 57 corvettes and a lot of them show the 913 two hole relay as well....... Thats where I feel I could be correct when I stated that a lot of them may have well came with the 913 two hole relay. Maybe I painted with too broad of a brush, I 'll tone it down...........- Top
