You could also take the frame to a zeibart shop and have it sprayed with there tools. I remember back in the day that treatment kept the underbody like new except that stuff was thick.

When I restored my 57's back in the 90's, I used an outfit in Romulus, Michigan (don't remember the name, and they went out of business about eight years ago) with a series of 20-foot tanks that duplicated the current steel car factory preparation process - they did car bodies, frames, and anything else that would fit in their tanks. They acid-dipped, then dip-neutralized/rinsed, then dip-phosphated, then dip e-coated the frame (black primer) and baked it. I had both frames done that way; cost me around $800 each at the time - those frames will last forever.

John, you probably had your frames done by Carponents/or www.ecoatking.com at that time. Former employee?? of Carponents, Mark Kochanoski now owns and operates Redi-Coat out at Romulus,MI. Personally, Dynamic Corvettes in Flint,MI picked up and repaired my frame and had Redi-Coat E-coat the frame. The idea of having the inside E-coated in the process was a no-brainer.
