I have a used F-41 out of a '67 that I will measure tomorrow. Will try to post a photo also. I believe the configuration of the 354130 is somewhat different from the original '68 spring

The 354130 is a SERVICE-only leaf spring for 63-74 F-40/F-41 applications. I do not know its width (even though I have an NOS example). In any event, ALL 1963-77 Corvette leaf springs, F-41 or otherwise, were 2-1/4" wide. These work with a differential cover that uses 9/16" bolts. A 2-1/2" wide spring will not work, at all, with a differential cover with 9/16" bolts. It will not fit between the bolts. For a 2-1/2" wide spring to work with any 1963-77 Corvette, the differential cover has to be changed to the later cover which uses 7/16" spring plate bolts. Many Corvettes received this cover in SERVICE since GM supplied it at one time for SERVICE of 1963-77 applications.

Thanks for the good info. As it's a service replacement, shouldn't or will trim heights be the same as OEM?

          Dick,

While you are measuring, can you get an exact length of the top leaf? Also, is the scallop the same as the other springs? I have a 69 L-36 with F-41, but only 6/7 leafs. I assume finding one leaf will be impossible, so will need to fabricate.

I have seen different opinions if F-41 was an L-36 option, opinions? Build sheet long gone, but I do have an EA tag, 3832518, from the front spring that looks original.

          Thanks,
          Robert

Hi Dale and Joe and Dick!!!!

Well after reading the post from Dale it got me curious. I am restoring my 71 454 a complete rear suspension restoration......The whole rear section.
I looked at the leaf spring on the 71 and it is F41 and it measure 2 1/4 wide

Went to the other garage and it is freezing out there ready to snow, and found one of my spare original F41 springs and it measures 2 1/4.

So I went to my 68 to check out the rear spring F41 and it is 2 1/4 wide

The moral of the story......I didn't screw up in restoring the wrong spring on the 71 or 68.

I can sleep well tonight and not worry about it.

Thanks for the info from Guru Joe.

            Hope this helps out Dale.

            Grant

There's no guarantee that a SERVICE-only piece is going to produce the exact same ride height as the original spring. However, it should produce a ride height that is within the range specified in the original specifications.
