    Saturday: SPEED Channel; New Prototype Corvettes Racing at Rolex 24-hr at Daytona

    Five new Corvette Daytona Prototypes will compete under the Team Chevy Racing banner in the 50th Anniversary of the Rolex 24-Hours at Daytona! SPEED Network will be providing 10 hours of live coverage beginning at 3:30pm on January 28, with live coverage for the full 24 hours at speed.com.

      Two of us went to see them practice yesteday. First time I have ever been to anything like that. I was just amazed; but to be fair those "prototypes" are to Corvette as the NASCAR cars are to stock cars. Ah, but the sound, the smell; you can't get that from the TV.

          they got beat by a ford powered car for the pole. chevy ain't going to like that.

              You have to finish Clem, as you know. 24 hours is a "LONG TIME"

                  Jim, saw your friend Dick Guldstrand run the 1966 24 hour Daytona in his Corvette, did good! Was quite an event!

                      looks like the the chevy boys are going to have to burn some midnight oil before the race. they need some more speed so we will see what happens the next race.
