Jeff, I can't help you with a pic of the part but will tell you the width is just as you said. The accelerator ground strap is about twice as wide as other ground straps on the car. John

I can't help either, what I did is to stretch mine to make it look wide. I don't think it's reproduced but I have not checked lately.

Also note NO star washer at accelerator lever, AIM and Shop Manuals clearly show that

Jeff, here is a pic of the strap installed. It was very oxidized, I had to clean it up, as there are no repro's at this width available.

I have bought several repro kits over the years and they all had the correct width strap for the accelerator. That is the one that gives up soonest, so I like to keep spares on hand (they're cheap).

Mike Thanks for the picture. Can you shoot a picture of the manifold bolt connection or at least verify it looks identical to engine ground strap in attached picture. I have a wide ground strap from another GM application that I can change ends on and have something that is closer than repro.

Also I never had a star washer or any signs one was there on accelerator lever.

I agree. No star washer was used in that location. It wasn't necessary.

Star washers were used with some radio ground straps thought. If the strap was bolted to a painted surface, a star washer would be included.

Pretty sure the AIM will agree with this.
