    Newer Emblem/Logo Question

    At last sunday's show put on by Classic Corvettes of Orlando, a great number of newer C-5 and C-6 cars were in attendance (surprise). A point was made by several knowledgeable owners that the new Emblems/logos with the flags in a "V" form, the "V" on the wheel center caps is supposed to be pointed at the valve stem, so positioned at the factory.

    Anyone ever heard of that??

    Re: Newer Emblem/Logo Question

    Stu, I have photos of all four wheels of my 2012 Z06/Z07 immediately after it came off the transporter at Hendrick Chevrolet and in every case the bottom of the "V" was aligned with the valve stem on each wheel, as seen in the photo below right after unloading. I only hope I'm around long enough and AM ABLE to remember this by the time we're seeing these cars on the judging field!!!!!

      Vinnie;

      So it is so then. I thought they were just pulling my leg. This seems to be true for every type wheel then as well.

      Interesting. Thanks for the response.

        Re: Newer Emblem/Logo Question

        Stu,

        When I had new tires put on my C6 (at the dealer, best around for Corvette service) I was told to make sure if I ever took my center caps off, to put them back on with the tip of the "V" pointed at the valve stem as that is how the factory does it.

        I now find myself looking at other C6's at car events to see how many do this.................

          Just checked the photos of my 2009 when it came off the carrier...the center caps were NOT installed when it came off the carrier...and upon taking delivery, the caps were NOT lined up as described above...will check the photos of my 2005 later or tomorrow...
