Gentlemen, Can someone point me in the direction I need to go fix the interlock lever at the bottom of the steering column in a 73? The problem I have is that the lever which I have unhooked from the cable moves so hard that I need to put a great deal of pressure (by hand) on it in order to move it. Does the column need to come all apart for a re-build or at least a good clean up? Thanks

Re: C3 steering column interlock fix needed
Russ, There must be something bound up in the lower part of the column, generally that lever moves freely. Have you tryed any penatrating oil to see if you can work it loose, Maybe some rust? Other wise it sounds like complete dissay. The lever being at the lowest part of the column. You can put in a E-mail to member Jim Shea. he may have seen this before.New England chapter member, 63 Convert. 327/340- Chapter/Regional/national Top Flight, 72 coupe- chapter and regional Top Flight.- Top
