    62 FI Hole Identification

    Can anyone tell me what the hole by the Windshiel Washer bottle in my 62 FI car is for?

      I'm quite sure I answered my own question. The hole is for a clip to retain the battery cable.

          I'm nowhere close to where I can see my cars to compare, and am having a little trouble with the orientation of the pic---but have to ask if you have the heat shield on. If not, don't start the car, or you'll need to buy a new washer jar and lid. I'll never tell you why I know that.

              Yah,the picture is upside down. I do have a heat shield. The answer was on the Assembly Manual page for a non-FI battery installation.
