    67 strut rod bushing question

I am looking at buying four NOS bushings part number 3775762. I only have one parts book and it only goes to 1972. so it only list that one. i know in the latter sharks they got bigger. i can only assume these are the correct ones for my original strut rods.

    thanks

    Keith,

GM 3775762 is the correct replacement bushing for 1963-1967 original strut rods (up through 1974, I think), and is still available from GMpartsdirect.com, currently $15.70 each.

      Keith -

If it matters, note that those replacement bushings have a steel outer shell; the originals didn't.

John what are you to do if you want it to be like the original?

Forget it. There are bushings on the market which do not have the outer steel shell. I recommend that these NOT be used. The original bushings were vulcanized-in-place and, thus, the rubber was "bonded" to the strut rod orifice. With the replacement bushings without the steel shell, they are a simple press fit in the orifice. Use the GM bushings (or equivalent thereof) with the steel outer shell.
