10 PCM code on a C5, what does it mesn??

I get a "10 PCM 1 code" on my C5. PCM means the Powertrain Control Module and "1 code" means one thing the system has ID'ed.
I know this refers to the air intake in some manner. The vette runs fine, just has the engine icon on. I clear the code and reset the
system, vette runs fine, but several miles later the engine light comes on again and I go through the same matter. I have never had
this problem in 64,xxx miles of driving. I am on the beach in NW FL and think the fog, rain, mist from the ocean and salty air could be
messing with the system and I have no real problem.

What do you technicions think? Will driving the vette hurt anything? The vette runs excellent.

George, I'm not a expert on the C5's but I helped a friend with some code diagnosing a while ago. Below is a link to info which helped us.

As Clem said there's more info in there. Did you step through the DIC sequence to get the actual "Pxxxx" code to determine the exact fault condition?

Thanks for the web sight info. I went to a Chev tech and he cleared the code; said it had to do with the AIR system and driving the vette was ok.
He could not promise the code would not come on again; but I know how to clear it and am told the code will not damage the engine. Hope he is correct.

Glad you got it resolved. Did he tell you what the fault code was?

My friend's '97 fault code was P0101 Mass Air Flow (MAF) System Performance. Turned out to be dirty K&N air filters. He cleaned them and all was ok after that.

No, he said it was "likely" a hose clamp on the AIR system; we made sure all clamps were tight and cleared the code. So for all is well.
