    Post your dyno results.

I'm looking for stock (or close to stock) chassis dyno information for the 69-70 L46 (350/350) and 70-72 LT-1.

Any other engine/chassis dyno information welcomed.

    TIA,
    Mike

There is a book of all the Official Corvette dyno sheets up to the 1980s in the NCRS archives. It may also be at the Corvette Museum, if you don't want to travel to Hershey. Might be best to contact each place first to be sure my info is up to date.

As built by Flint, on a Dynojet chassis dyno with SAE air density correction about 300 lb-ft torque for both in the mid to high 3000 range range: about 220+ RWHP in the low to mid fives for the L-46 and 10-15 more for the LT-1 in the mid to high fives.

With head massaging torque will increase by about five percent and peak a little higher, and peak power will be up about 10 percent at about 500 revs higher than Flint machined heads.

The above data assumes you can keep the fan clutch from tightening. You can approximate SAE net at the flywheel by dividing the SAE corrected RW data by 0.89, assuming under the car OE exhaust system and no accessories other than the coolant pump and alternator. Power steering and the AIR pump will cost a few HP. A fully tightened fan clutch will cost about 10 lb-ft peak torque and 15 HP at the top end.

              Terry,
There is also one in Michigan, if you're in town.

Thanks for the info George. It is good to know, but I wasn't the one looking for them -- and aparently Mike wants chassis runs anyway. At least this will push his request up the queue.

                  Terry,
I know. I just thought that the next time you're making a cameo appearance at one of our tech sessions, you might want to see it.

                    George,
I received the copy NCRS has when I had posession of the NCRS archives. I have been up close and personal (so to speak) with it, and a wonderful piece of history it is. We (NCRS & The NCM) are fortunate to have it. I am glad to hear there are other copies around. The best form of preservation is to have multiple copies in different safe locations.
