Is COPPER Bronze (code 992) an early '69 color ?

Photocopy of window sticker of an early '69 (going by date of order submission of July 27th 1968). Note it's an L89 convertible.

Always thought it was code 992, Corvette Bronze (1968), or code 990 Monaco Orange (1969).

That order copy also calls for DK Orange vinyl trim. I do not think that color trim was avavilable in 1969.

I think this build sheet is for a 1968 Corvette. 1969 production did not start until late August or September.

Also note that the car was equipped with N-11 off-road exhaust. That option was not available for 1969, especially since off-road exhaust was 2-1/2" and all 1969's were equipped with 2" exhaust.

1969 regular production began August 22 (trim tag date).

To me there's a disconnect in the top line. Order was received nearly a year after expected production date? I believe this is a very early 67 with a typo in the order received area--should be 67 rather than 68. Or am I missing something?

Well I think it's early "something" --- check the Ident No. box on the upper left [800753]; doesn't this correlate (roughly) to the VIN ? and color codes seem to indicate C3 era.

I think it is a late 68 or a pilot 69 ordered with 68 paint & trim before the changover.

My mistake on my earlier post with typo. I meant to say an early 68 built in 67. Thanks for being polite, all!!!

I would agree with Mike's conclusion
