I actually changed my mind on the dipping due to several stories of people having them dipped and then later having them rot out because they were not well cleaned following the dipping process. I had it sandblasted by Multi Media in Pulaksi, PA. They did a pretty good job. I think they were a bit aggresive and could have done a little better in a few corners, but overall, I would do it again.

The dipping did nothing to inhibit or promote the rot. Ya start with peanut butter, and sooner or later ya ends up with peanut butter. You start with gold and it stays gold.
