I've got a '72 Ls 5 4 spd. The quadrajet number is 17054918. I know it's not correct but what was it for? Thanks!

It was a SERVICE carburetor for 1972 Chevrolet and GMC truck applications with big block. It's also possible that it's the actual carburetor once supplied under GM SERVICE part number 17054697 (on-box part number) which was applicable to 1972 Corvettes with LS-5.

Thanks Joe,

I've searched around the internet on this and couldn't come up with anything real definite. I just joined NCRS and this whole experience is a 64 year old kid in the candy store experience.

Rochester Quadrajet # 17054918 fits a 1972 Truck with either a 402 or 454 engine.
