I agree. The car was probably not completed on January 4th, and could have been finished and out the door on the 5th.

Thanks Tom and David. I'm sure as I get into working on a partial restore, I'll have more questions for the experts here. I doubt I'll ever do a complete restore back to its original condition as the person I bought it from (who owned it for about 25 years) repainted it from its original yellow to black (he did do a decent job) about 5 years ago and completely changed out the interior from brown leather to black leather. He did a crappy job with the weather sealing on the t-top though, and for the last year it was left outside, so all of the "new" carpet and underlayment was soaked and will have to be replaced.
