    762 Heads on a 56 Powerglide?

Maybe a dumb question, but on an April powerglide car with dual quads, would the 762 heads be appropriate or 306s? Just picked up a 59K original mile 56 that was parked since 1964. VIN 2103. No heads with the car, but I have the 9 fin valve covers. I'm not sure how I read the JG and what is a 1st design as opposed to a 2nd design. Can anyone clarify for me? I would assume it would be an FG with 1st design and needing the 306 heads by reading the JG, but in the past I had always thought the 2x4 setups all used the 762 heads. My other 56 is a very late car so I haven't had to deal with this issue in the past.

    Thanks for the help. Mark

Thanks for the response, Jim. Assuming they were original to the car.

Anyone know of anybody that has a pair of April or newer 762 heads for sale?
