Monte, you said you were going to add Power Brakes to your 72 and that you had all the parts for the change over. Does that include the fiberglass cover that is part of the firewall that needs to be changed for PB from std brakes. It is shown in the 72AIM UPC5 A-2 as a cover. The hole in the firewall moves downward with PB I believe and maybe a couple other changes take place. Scott

      Scott,
To be honest, I am not sure if I have it. About twenty years ago I bought a 73 and had my way with it. I took the tilt-tele, the power windows, power steering, power brakes, and stereo out of it. I have used up all those part except the tilt-tele and power brakes on other cars I have had over the years. It took me a little while to find early 72 master cylinder and booster. Now that I am finishing up the car, I am trying to gather up any other parts I might need.
That is what started this thread. The brake lines. So, I need to look in the bin that has been sitting in the corner of the garage to see if I have one of those covers.
If I do not have one, do you have one you are willing to part with?
And, thank you for asking about something that I may have forgetten. It is really rotton to get half way through a project and at that time see you are missing a part you need to complete the task.

EDIT: The original brake lines that were on that 73 were so mangled, even before I got my hands on them, they were no good in any way shape or form.

I have tried to help many members get their A/C systems going. I have talked quite a few of you through it.
This has been my way of paying back the people like the member who have gone out of their way to offer me a set of brake lines that used to be on their car. The ones I need. I am not able to help them directly, buy in this loop of people we have here, what goes around seems to come around.
I just want to say "Thank You" to all of you who have helped me out over the years.
This is a very good group.
There are other groups that are very very different and a lot less pleasant to work with.
Kepp it up folks, and if thereis any body out there that needs help getting their A/C going, I would be more than glad to take a lok to see what we can do.
        Thanks to a great bunch.

          Scott,
Your question about if I had the "cover" for the opening in the firewall made me think of something else I never got. although I had one or two lined up at one point, I never ended up getting an original vacuum line that comes off the back of the carb. I think there is a tab so it can actually be bolted to the stud on the carb to hold it in place.
So, it looks like I have a few things to dig up before I proceed with this particular project.
If any one knows of an original rigid power brake line that goes from the back of the carburator and connects to a rubber hose that goes to the booster, I am interested.
          Thanks again gang.
