Best TI amp module to buy?

What's the best TI amp module to buy and the best place to buy? And please tell me what your determiner is for "best". I see lots of claims--not sure how best to sort them out.
    thanks!

    Mike,

I purchased a conversion board for my original TI amp (1965 L78) from Richard Fortier (when he was still at Paragon) about 10 years ago - for much less than a new amp from LICS at the time - It came in a plain white box and took about 10 minutes to install once amp was off the car.

It has been trouble free and the car is driven almost weekly.

If you have an original amp you might give Richard a call (810) 750-1472 and see where he sourced these from.

    Carl

I like K&B Special Products. They are in the Driveline. Nice guy's to talk to and their TI products are fabulous.

I too purchased mine from K&B about a month ago. The new module really appears to give mine some extra kick at initial starting.

          Mike,

I chose the transistor ignition replacement module #32270 from M & H Electric, purchased through Keen Parts....got better price. It was a straight forward plug n play. Engine from a cold start snaps right over and provided there's gas in carb, starts within 1 1/2 revolutions. Pulls hard right to redline 5300-5500....1966 427/390.

            Mike,
I don't know about which module might be the best, but I prefer as much original equipment as possible. I am still running the original TI amplifiers from GM. They've been working properly now for 41 years.

as long as water has not gotten into the unit most problems i have found when i used to repair the amps was bad ground at the amp where the ground wire bolts to the amp . when i put the amp from a no start in my tester the amp would work great
